88. My Family

When you think and feel that everything around you is not going right, there’s only one place to go to - home. Why? Because you are sure that your family will always be there - waiting for you.

You got turned down by your one true love? You lost a friend? You lost your job? Whatever bad things that happened to you that you think you can no longer continue to go and move on, you can always be sure that once you go home to your family, they will be there for you. To comfort you, to guide you, and will continue loving you no matter what.

I don’t have the perfect family. We are a dysfunctional family. We fight over money. We fight over petty things. We are currently having a financial crisis. We lack communication. We don’t say I love you to each other every day. We are not a known and popular family. We still have a lot to learn before we can say that we are one happy family. But you know what? I have learned to accept it. Because no family is perfect. Every family has their own share of problems and conflicts. We just have to continue living and do the things that should make us grow as a family. To be be more loving, more open to each other, more productive, and be more closer to God. Despite everything, I know that we love each other so much. I am just happy that we are alive and we are still complete.

At the end of the day, I would still come home to my family and I would just smile to myself. I am blessed. I have a great family.
